REVO

Revo wants to make door-to-door air mobility easy for people. Providing a curated experience for those traveling around Brazil. Launching in 2022, the new iOS app offers customers the ability to book flights and to tailor their experience with an on-hand concierge. We focused on three main customer problems - reduce air-mobility safety concerns, build trust in a new company, and remove all barriers to entry.

I worked alongside a Creative Lead and a UI designer to create the end-to-end product process. From building the early-stage story-map and sitemap to the more granular wireframes handed over to development.

THE PROCESS

1. UNDERSTAND

At the onset of this project, I knew very little about air mobility and the market audience for this product. In the initial stages, I worked with the insights/research team to fully immerse myself into the Revo customer needs as well as familiarise myself with other booking apps and concierge experiences in the market. This information influenced how customers would navigate through the product and the opportunities for the concierge to be called upon without adding too much strain to the service.

2. BUILD PRINCIPLES

Before diving into the user journeys, we created a set of experience principles that enabled us to design with purpose and direction. Creating a chart for our overarching customer problems and areas of focus - Safety and peace of mind, Seamless end-to-end and door-to-door, Personalised, and Premium experience. This allowed us to get a sense of what features could be possible in the app at such an early stage of the project.

3. INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE

The next stage involved building an Information Architecture, where the "happy journey" was sketched out with the rough set of screens assigned to certain levels. This enabled us to discuss expectations with the client and decipher what features were critical and nice to have.

4. STORYMAP

Alongside the information architecture, we used a storymap to define and create feature ideas that would then inform and inspire the wireframes.

5. WIREFRAMES

Once each journey / app section was decided upon, we then moved into sprints. Working through each area in 2 week sprints. Kicking each sprint off with a requirements gathering meeting.
